By 2028, the Government of Ghana will reduce food losses and food wastes from 20% to 10% and from 84 kg/capita/year (in 2015) to 60 kg/capita/year respectively; increase the production of climate-resilient varieties of diverse vegetables and legumes, fruits, and biofortified staple crops using sustainable agricultural practices by 40% (over 2020 levels) and expand the proportion of land area under irrigated agriculture (to produce mainly cereals, vegetables and fruits) from 11.9% to 20%.
